On Foot: The Jungle Floor

01

Deep Immersion. Ancient Paths.
The best way to meet the Daintree is at eye level. Whether you’re looking for a casual wander or a lung-busting climb, these trails are your gateway to the world's oldest living rainforest. Strap on your boots and start your story.

  • The Crocodylus Loop (2km): Our own onsite, self-guided jungle trail. High impact, low effort, and right on your doorstep.

  • The National Park Trilogy: Hit the "Big Three" boardwalks—Jindalba, Madja, and Dubiji. Each takes about 40 minutes and showcases a different face of the ancient canopy. (Free)

  • The Mt. Sorrow Summit: For the serious trekkers. A demanding full-day hike that rewards the grind with a legendary view of the reef meeting the rainforest

Guided Expeditions

On the Water: River  Expeditions

Ancient Waterways. Primitive Predators.
The Daintree’s rivers are the lifeblood of the forest—a complex network of mangroves and "rainforest nurseries" where the wild meets the water. From prehistoric crocodiles basking on the banks to the flash of a Kingfisher, these cruises get you closer to the pulse of the jungle.

  • Solar Whisper (1hr): Silence is your best tool. This zero-emission electric boat lets you glide up to wildlife without a noisy engine scaring them off.

  • Cooper Creek Wilderness (1hr): Pure, secluded, and wild. This cruise takes you deep into the only creek system in the Daintree with no outside development.

  • The Mangrove Watch: Keep your eyes on the roots. These "forest nurseries" are teeming with life—look for crabs, juvenile fish, and specialized birdlife.

Specialist Voyages

  • The Daintree Boatman: For the birdwatchers and photographers. Take a Sunrise or Sunset tour to catch the Daintree’s rare avian life in the best light.

On The Coast: Where the Rainforest Meets to Reef

03

Crystal Creeks. Coral Gardens. Saltwater Dreams.
Water is the heart of the Daintree experience. Whether you’re chasing a hidden freshwater swimming hole, riding through the surf on horseback, or diving into the world’s most famous reef, it’s time to get wet.

  • The Secret Swimming Holes: Forget the crocodiles—we’ll point you to the local freshwater spots where the water is cool, clear, and perfectly safe for a dip. Ask at the desk for the coordinates.

  • The Onsite Pool: Sometimes you just want to sink into a sun lounger. Our central pool is the ultimate spot to wash off the jungle heat.

  • Ocean Safari (1/2 or Full Day): Launch from the beach and be on the Great Barrier Reef in just 25 minutes. Snorkel through untouched coral gardens and swim alongside sea turtles.

  • Cape Trib Horse Rides: Experience the magic of Myall Beach from the saddle. There is nothing like the feeling of riding through the rainforest and out onto the sand.
